Home Video Report: 50th Anniversary Edition of Psycho
Our video list this week is again taking us down Memory Lane.
We're coming up on the 50th anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock's horror masterpiece, Psycho (above). The Blu-ray offering includes a two-disk special edition and a detailed interview with Anthony Perkins.
Then there's Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now, available in a three-disk Blu-ray edition which includes the 1979 original and the "expanded edition" from 2001.
There are two Harry Potter releases: from 2004, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and from 2005, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Of recent vintage: the 3-D animated adventure How To Train Your Dragon, Sex and the City II, and Predators.
And last but not least, a documentary about that infamous picture-taker who, some say, may be extremely hated among actors. It's Ron Galella, who went about snapping photos of almost every name actor and actress whether or not they approved. He suffered a few injuries, including losing five of his front teeth to the fist of Marlon Brando. The documentary is titled Smash His Camera.
