Holiday Weekend Golf
There is no shortage of specials for Memorial Day Weekend... so here we go with some highlights, starting at or near the shore:
Vineyard Golf at Renault: $59, including cart, any time on Monday.
At White Oaks CC, there's a shotgun start at 8am tomorrow with some slots still open. You can play for just a $20 cart fee as a last-minute special. Call the pro shop at 856-697-8900 to confirm the deal.
At Ballamor, you can play Monday after noon for $60 including cart. That's a savings of $29.
Play at Sand Barrens on Friday, Saturday or Sunday this weekend and you can go back Monday for half price.
If you're not headed to the shore...
Wyncote is giving its email subscribers a Memorial Day Bonus: a free "Golf Passport 2011" booklet ($60 value) with each paid green fee. The offer is good tomorrow through Monday, so if you're not signed up for their emails you can go here to do it now.
Back Creek's Memorial Day special rates are $47.50 Green Fee and Cart ... $45 for seniors... and $36.00 After 2 pm. Plus you can take 20% off any single item in the pro shop.
Deerfield is giving out Triple Rewards Dollars for all rounds Friday through Monday. You can click here to find out how their rewards program works. They're also offering a mid-afternoon special from tomorrow through June: $47 Monday through Thursday and $57 from Friday to Sunday when you tee off between 2 and 3 pm.
Moccasin Run's holiday weekend rates are $41 to walk 6:00 am until noon Saturday through Monday (a $15 savings). All veterans will also receive 15% off their green fee on Monday with the proper ID.
The Bucks Club is holding a Memorial Day Blind Partner Better Ball Tournament. For any tee time between 6:30 and 11:00 am you can pay the $20 entry fee. You can play with your regular foursome, then turn in your card and they'll team you up randomly with another player who played in another group. You'll get the results via email. For info, call John Diamond at 215-343-0350 ext. 102.
At Twining Valley... there's a similar idea with a different twist: a 2-player scramble. For the $10 entry fee you'll get a hot dog and soda, and the club will return all remaining fees in prizes for the top two teams. You can play anytime Saturday, Sunday or Monday and post a score for the event.
Odessa National's Weekend Special is a $55 rate, $48 for seniors, including cart. Or a foursome can take 10% off the regular rate (with cart). Starting at noon, the rates drop to $45 ($40 seniors), and at 3:00 they go down to $35 for everyone.
Inniscrone has a Ping Demo Day set for Saturday with discounts on selected Ping products in the pro shop. They also have one later today: a Callaway Demo Day this afternoon from 4:00 to 7:00. There will also be discounts on some Callaway and Odyssey equipment, including 30% off putters and a blow-out price on Callaway Bags: $59 (regularly $160). That's a pretty impressive price.
And if you think the local courses are agressively seeking your business this weekend (and they are) you should see the online retailers go at it. Memorial day sales abound and you can check them all out by clicking on the DealTrackerGolf logo below.
