Hindu Statue Arrives At New Home In New Castle County
NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. (CBS) -- Hockessin Temple is now home to a statue of a Hindu God. The statue is said to be the tallest in the country.
Over the weekend, hundreds of people celebrated the arrival of the 25-foot granite statue.
The statue weighs about 60,000 pounds and was carved out a single piece of stone.
Eyewitness News was told it took sculptors in India a year to carve.
