Heart Association's New 'Stayin Alive' PSA Makes CPR Easy

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Remember John Travolta's white suit in the movie Saturday Night Fever? It's back in a new campaign for the American Heart Association.
The White Suit public service announcement urges you to learn hands only CPR which American Heart Association spokeswoman Christina Crews says takes just 90-seconds to learn -- forget the breaths just push.
"In the center of the chest to the beat of "Stayin Alive". That is the beat we need you to keep. Keep that beat until paramedics arrive."
The song "Stayin Alive" was chosen because the compressions need to be done 100-times per minute which is the tempo of that famous BeeGees tune from Saturday Night Fever.
