Harlem Globetrotters Visit Philly For 3-Game Stint

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Harlem Globetrotters are in town this week. And to kick it off, one of the team's star players walked across the Ben Franklin Bridge in true Globetrotter style.
The wind, speed of cars and trains on the Ben Franklin Bridge didn't scare Globetrotter Star "Flight Time" Lang as he dribbled and spinned his way from Camden to Philadelphia. It's just one of the many stops he's made in the area, visiting schools and spreading a little basketball cheer.
"Each and every night I get to go out and entertain and make people smile and make them happy. But when I go to the schools, I get to pull out kids and have them do tricks with the basketball and entertain me."
Besides being an excellent ball player, Lang says all Globetrotters must be able to spin the ball on their finger. As for his special shot:
"I do a shot where I flip it up and catch it on the back of my neck and attempt to flip it into the basket. I usually make it four or five times out of seven days a week that we play. I also go into the stands and shoot."
The Globetrotters take the court at this Friday Liacouras Center, on Saturday at Sun National Bank Center and on Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center. Fans can purchase tickets to all five area performances online at www.harlemglobetrotters.com.
