Guns N' Roses Returning To Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - This is not an April Fools' Day prank. Guns N' Roses are returning to Philadelphia!
After announcing a Coachella appearance and the few shows in Vegas with the "classic lineup" of Slash, Axl, and Duff McKagen last year, the legendary "Paradise City" rockers are rolling out a full summer stadium tour that will stop at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, July 14th.
Confirmed by Live Nation and dubbed the "Not In This Lifetime" Tour, this string of Guns N' Roses shows will be their first all together since 1993.
You might remember Axl Rose and a different lineup of G N' R in 2002 stopping in Philadelphia and causing a riot after cancelling their set "due to illness" after a 90 minute wait for fans at the First Union Center. Several scars and stories and a Chinese Democracy later, it appears the iconic originals have got it back to together and are ready to hit the road.
Rumors have been flying for a while about the reunited band announcing a cross-country trek, but they were sent into overdrive when the band posted a teaser video on Twitter last Friday.
Formed in 1985, Guns N' Roses have sold more than one hundred million records worldwide, and was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2012. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday April 8th.
