Gunmen Sought In Robbery Of North Philadelphia Store
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects in connection to the armed robbery of a convenience store.
The robbery happened February 5 at about 2:15 p.m. at the Rising Sun Mini-Mart located in the 3400 block of N. 11th Street.
According to investigators, two black males entered the store armed with handguns. One of the suspects placed his handgun to the side of an employee's head and struck him several times in the back of the head.
The second suspect then went behind the counter and forced open a register and took approximately $300 in cash.
Both suspects then fled the store.
The first suspect is described as 23-24 years old, medium brown complexion, 6'0"- 6'1" with a medium build. He was wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt that was worn underneath a black jacket and tan pants.
The second suspect is described as 23-24 years old, dark complexion, clean shaven, 5'9"-5'10" with a thin build. He was wearing a blue-hooded sweatshirt with a black vest and blue denim jeans.
