Gunman Steals TV From South Philly Walmart
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The search is on for an armed suspect who stole a television from a Walmart in South Philadelphia Saturday morning.
This happened just before 2 a.m. at the store located on South Columbus Boulevard.
After refusing to show a receipt to the store's guard, police say the 38-year-old suspect pulled up his shirt to show that there was a handgun concealed in his waistband.
Police say the suspect then walked right out of the store with the TV in a shopping cart.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a black man, age 25-30, 5'8' with a heavy build, medium brown complexion who was weaning a black knit hat, a black hoodie, black pants and black sneakers.
The TV stolen is a 50" VIZIO flat screen valued at just under $900.
Police are investigating the incident.
