'Gun Appreciation Day' Getting Little Attention Across Delaware Valley
By David Madden
GLASSBORO, N.J. (CBS) -- Tomorrow, January 19th, is "Gun Appreciation Day" in America, and people are being urged to get out and show their support for their weapons and the Second Amendment that protects them.
People are being urged to show up at stores, firing ranges, and state capitols tomorrow. Organizers concede there are not a lot of people talking up the event around here; the closest official rally is in Lancaster, Pa. But it's taking hold in other parts of the country, particularly down South.
At one South Jersey gun shop, business has been brisk. They're selling all kinds of weapons at Bob's Little Sports Shop in Glassboro, NJ. Co-owner Bob Viden (below) says every time President Obama speaks out on gun control, more people come in to his store.

As for this grass-roots movement to celebrate gun ownership, Viden says, "I think the 'pro' people just want to get our word out that all guns aren't bad. The people that use them for good or bad are the ones that they have to focus on."
