Guilty Plea Expected In 'Bridgegate' Scandal

NEWARK, N.J. (CBS) - There are developments in the New Jersey "Bridgegate" scandal which has dogged the Christie Administration for over a year.
A Newark hearing is expected to bring a guilty plea from one of the principles in the lane closures at the George Washington Bridge that were thought to be political payback for the Mayor of Fort Lee, a democrat, not supporting Chris Christie's gubernatorial re-election bid in September 2013.
The U.S. Attorney is scheduled to hold a press conference in Newark this afternoon where charges are to be announced to conclude a 16-month grand jury probe.
The man who allegedly orchestrated the lane closures, David Wildstein, is expected to plead guilty in federal court.
Amid the scandal, Wildstein resigned from his post. Now, reports say Wildstein may have struck a deal with federal investigators.
This could potentially be a dark day for Christie, given his potential Presidential aspirations. He's out of state today.
Several current and former administration officials were questioned, including the Governor himself, as part of the investigation.
