Guide To The 2013 Fringe Festival
With a new name and new stomping grounds, the 17th annual FringeArts Fringe Fest (formerly the Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe) is amping up the city's arts scene this September. What: Dating back to 1997, the 2013 Fringe Festival takes over the city for over two weeks each September. This year, expect performances from over 150 artists, musicians, troupes and groups in genres including dance, theater, music, spoken word and more.
When: September 5 – 22, 2013
Where: Performances take place all over the city in galleries, restaurants, concert halls, theaters, etc.
Schedule: This year's Fringe Fest includes more than 700 performances, including 16 Presented Fringe shows (formerly the Live Arts half of the festival) and 136 Neighborhood Fringe shows (formerly the Philly Fringe). With so many events, there's just no way to list them all here.

Festival Bar: Drink up at the Fringe Fest's Festival Bar, home of the Late Nite Cabaret, starting at 10 p.m. every night during the festival. The bar is located at Underground Arts (12th and Callowhill streets) and you must be 21+ to get in. Visit www.FringeArts.com for schedule of performers.
FEASTIVAL: The much anticipated fourth annual FEASTIVAL, a benefit for FringeArts, will be held on Thursday, September 12, 6-9 p.m. at Pier 9 (121 N. Columbus Blvd.) in Philadelphia. Guests can enjoy a feast from dozens of the city's top chefs, hosted by Stephen Starr, Michael Solomonov and Audrey Claire Taichman, with live performances by Festival artists and silent and live auctions. And coming soon…Fringe Arts will open a new performance facility with year-round programming in October. The 10,000 square foot historic fire pumping building is located on Columbus Boulevard along the Delaware River and includes a 225 seat theater, an outdoor performance plaza and a restaurant and bar.
