Guide: Local Viewing Parties For Papal Events

If you do not have tickets to attend the papal events on September 26-27th, there are locations across the area where you can watch them live.

Franklin Square

Franklin Square will have a jumbotron broadcasting live all Papal events on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27. The public is invited to come to Franklin Square and view all of the Papal events for free. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome.

Franklin Square will open at 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, and close at 8 p.m., or when programming concludes. Amenities in Franklin Square include public restrooms, the Stephen Starr burger stand SquareBurger (which opens at 10 a.m. each day), a gift shop selling official Pope merchandise, as well as regular Franklin Square attractions such as two playgrounds, the Parx Liberty Carousel, and Philly Mini Golf.

Cape May Convention Hall

Cape May, NJ

Pope Francis's Mass on the Parkway will be shown live on a large screen at Cape May Convention Hall on Sunday, September 27. Admission will be free for this event, but a ticket is required.

Tickets are available at all churches located in the City of Cape May, and at the Information/Reception Desk at Cape May Convention Hall. The tickets are being handed out as a way to ensure crowd control and to comply with the local fire code.

Doors to Convention Hall will open for seating at 3 p.m. At 3:30 p.m., officials say those without a ticket will be admitted to Convention Hall if any seats are still available. Anyone with a ticket arriving at the Hall after 3:30 p.m. will be admitted only on the basis of remaining available seating. Convention Hall's capacity is about 800.

There will be no food or beverage sold, dispensed, or allowed in Convention Hall for the event.

The dress code is casual attire. No beach attire will be permitted.

Church of the Incarnataion

Mantua, NJ

The Church of the Incarnation in Mantua, NJ is hosting a Pope Watch Party on Saturday, September 26th.  They will live stream the Pope's talk from Independence Hall and have  food, fun, live music, and ice cream.
