DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (CBS) --- The Michener Art Museum in Doylestown, Bucks County is playing host to Grace Kelly, celebrating her work and life as an actress and iconic figure.
The exhibition opens Monday and runs through the end of January.
When you walk into each room, the arc of Grace Kelly's life is traced, from East Falls to Hollywood where she became a star, to Monaco, where she married a prince.
"Boy, what about Grace Kelly," remarked Michener Art Museum Director and CEO Lisa Tremper Hanover. "The name still resonates fifty years later."
Hanover says the exhibition is called "From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelly - Beyond the Icon."
"We start with her Hollywood years," she explained. "We have her Oscar, and the beautiful Edith Head designed gown that she used in 1955 to accept that Oscar, for the country girl."
The wardrobe displays are on mannequins replicating her size 10 frame with a 21 inch waist.
"Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Chanel, all really saw Grace Kelly as an ideal figure, both physically and the way in which she wore their clothes," said Hanover.

The museum also displays letters from co-stars like Cary Grant, directors like Alfred Hitchcock, and personal letters from dignitaries like Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth, as well as memorabilia, film clips and home movies.
