Gov. Wolf Tours Urban Outfitters Headquarters In Phila.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Governor Tom Wolf visited the Urban Outfitters world headquarters in the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, as part of his "Jobs That Pay" tour.
The Governor recalls one of his daughter's recently got married and has quite a bit of Urban Outfitters clothing in her wardrobe. Several months ago he attended ceremonies for the opening of a company fulfillment center in Gap, Lancaster County.
"They had moved it to South Carolina some time ago, and then they moved it back to Pennsylvania. It's a million square feet and has state of the art distribution technology," said Gov. Wolf.
That's where Governor Wolf met URBN's founder and CEO, Dick Hayne, telling him he would love to visit the multi-national clothing corporation at the Navy Yard, to see first-hand its re-use.
"Folks have brought back the grandeur, the architectural beauty of these buildings."
He then motioned to the sprawling cafeteria surroundings, industrial, but chic.
"This was a place that was used to bend pipe, for the Navy," said Gov. Wolf.
URBN has 2,500 employees in nine buildings in the Navy Yard.
It was his first public appearance since disclosing 10 days ago that he was being treated for prostate cancer. The governor says he's feeling just fine, emphasizing he made the disclosure to be open about it. He says doctors found it early, after a routine checkup, and he adds, the disease is "eminently treatable."
