GOP Race For Presidential Nomination Far From Decided

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Super Tuesday is now "hopeful Wednesday" for the four Republicans who want to be President. Here is a look at how things stand.
First of all, the delegates.
Romney is over four-hundred with his six state win, including the very narrow win over Rick Santorum in Ohio. Romney is one-third to the nomination. But Santorum, who won three states, is closing in on two-hundred. And Newt Gingrich is at one-hundred-five.
The contests head to the south. Mississippi and Alabama and other Southern states after that.
Romney must prepare for a longer fight.
Gingrich hopes to hang on in the South.
Santorum, who almost beat Romney in Michigan and Ohio, is not going away.
The numbers say Romney is on a path to the nomination, but that path may deplete his funds, and a longer fight has the upside -- broad exposure -- and downside -- a chance for President Barrack Obama to gain his own momentum.
