Google Calling On Students To Design A New Google Doodle Logo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Google is looking for a new logo. It's just for a day, but one creative kid will get his or her artwork displayed on the search homepage for all to see.
Talk about a cool job.
"My name is Ryan Germick and I am the lead of the Google Doodle team," says Germick.
They're behind the artwork that replaces the traditional Google letters to mark things like holidays or inventors.
"So sometimes that means we make a video game, or a painting, or take a photograph, or make a video," even the Zamboni game they came up with this past week to celebrate hockey's return Germick explains.
But now Germick wants kids to go to the drawing board.
"The theme this year is 'my best day ever.' So the idea is, anything a student can think up, they're welcome to put into a Google logo, integrating their best day ever into the word Google, and we've got prizes in store for the winners," he says.
The prizes include a $30,000 scholarship, a Chromebook and a $50,000 technology grant for the child's school.
