Good Samaritan Risks Life In Hit-And-Run Incident
LANSDOWNE (CBS) - A woman who saw a hit and run in Lansdowne followed the car to a nearby home and blocked the driver with her car, putting her own safety in serious jeopardy.
Authorities say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
A car hit a man crossing Baltimore Avenue near Union Avenue. The driver took off and another motorist, who witnessed the hit and run, followed him. When the driver pulled into a driveway a few blocks away, she parked her car to block him in so the suspect couldn't get out.
The driver rammed her car in an attempt to get away. He finally took off on foot and police found him a short time later. He is facing several charges including leaving the scene. The pedestrian who was hit suffered head injuries but is expected to be ok.
