Futuristic Global Exhibition To Make Its Only U.S. Tour Stop At The Oval In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia will be the only tour stop in North America for Saint-Gobain's traveling exhibit, "Future Sensations."

The exhibition is described as a high-concept, immersive experience featuring five distinct pavilions.

One of the world's largest building materials companies, Saint-Gobain is commemorating its 350th anniversary with "Future Sensations," making just four stops around the world including Shanghai, China, São Paulo, Brazil, Paris, France and Philadelphia, home of Saint-Gobain's domestic headquarters.

"Future Sensations" exhibits Saturday, May 30 through Saturday, June 6, at The Oval, located on the northwest end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

"This is a huge opportunity for Philadelphia and The Oval," said Executive Director of the Fairmount Park Conservancy Kathryn Ott Lovell.

"Future Sensations" features five distinct ephemeral pavilions which reportedly take visitors on a journey of science, storytelling and art that celebrates the past three and a half centuries and sets the stage for future innovations.

"Really what this is about for us is the future and bringing innovation into the future," said Dina Silver Pokedoff of Saint-Gobain.
