Gift Wrapping For Charity At The Cherry Hill Mall
CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) - Thousands of dollars is being raised for a good cause at one gift wrapping station in the Cherry Hill Mall.
Volunteers from the Camden County chapter of Haddasah say they've wrapped everything from bowling balls to security guards over the years. Funds raised support Hadassah medical projects in Israel and local causes.
Bill Reeves of Haddonfield was in line, "I come here to the ladies of the Haddasah every year because I am just a terrible wrapper and they do such a nice job and it looks very nice under the tree."
Volunteer Nancy Wenter says, "It is helping others and that is what the holiday season is basically all about: charity and giving. And by coming here you are helping people in Israel and the people in the United States."
Suggested donations range from a couple of dollars to ten dollars.
"If it's a shirt box it's four dollars. If it's less than a shirt box it could be one, two, three dollars. And then it goes higher than that."
Boxes are a dollar apiece.
