Rain Changing To Snow Through Evening Rush, Making Travel Difficult
By Kathy Orr
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Through the evening rush, cold air will move in and rain will change over to snow from north to south.
Friday night, travel on area roads will become increasingly difficult, with blowing snow and reduced visibility. Snow could fall at a rate of 1-2" an hour for a few hours in our Warning Area, and winds will gust to 30 miles-an-hour.
Down the Shore, tidal flooding is possible at times of high tide, between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Winds will gust to 55 mph during the storm.
Three to six inches of snow will fall in Philadelphia, with less to the south and east.
Expect 6-10 inches as you head into our NW Suburbs, the Lehigh Valley & Poconos.
The snow will end Saturday morning, with a windy high of 35 degrees.
It will be a sunny Sunday, with highs in the upper 30s.
Stay safe,
Kathy
