Germantown Homeowner Awakes To Armed Gunman Standing Over Him

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect in a violent early-morning home invasion Thursday.
The frightening ordeal happened at about 5 a.m. inside a home in the 4600 block of Wayne Avenue in the city's Germantown section.
According to the victim, he was asleep in a bedroom when he was awoken by a suspect standing over him and pointing a shotgun at him. The victim says he told the suspect he didn't have any money, and that's when the victim says the suspect struck him several times with the shotgun.
The suspect then ran out of the home empty-handed.
The victim was treated at the scene for facial and head injuries.
The search for the suspect is ongoing.
