Princeton University Reopens 11 Buildings Following Gas Leak
PRINCETON, N.J. (CBS)--Five hundred people were evacuated in the immediate area of Princeton University due to a gas leak Monday morning.
According to Princeton University officials, shortly before 10 a.m. a backhoe struck a gas line south of the University's McCosh Health Center.
Hundreds of people from 11 buildings in the area were evacuated.
Princeton University has now reopened all of the 11 buildings after they were closed for nearly three hours.
PSEG, Princeton Fire Department, Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad, the Universtiy's Department of Public Safety, Office of Environmental Health and Safety and Site Protection had all responded to the scene of the incident.
There were no reported injuries.
