Officials Declare Fire At South Philly High School Arson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Officials evacuated a Philadelphia high school Wednesday afternoon after someone set a fire inside the building.

The incident happened around 1:15 p.m. inside the second-floor girls bathroom of Furness High School located in the 1900 block of South 3rd Street.

The School District of Philadelphia Fire Marshal declared it an arson.

There have been no arrests and no injuries reported.

Students are now back inside the building.
