From Amateurs and Professionals, Tips For Last-Minute Holiday Shopping
By Michelle Durham
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- For many Christmas shopping procrastinators, this was the weekend they were hoping to make a dent in their holiday shopping list. But again we are faced with a forecast of snow!
Desperate times call for desperate measures, so we asked some local shoppers how they will get it all done.
Denise, shopping at the Willow Grove Mall, said you just have to hunker down and dig in.
"The snow can't be a factor -- we have a week and a half left. I mean, it has to get done. That's my answer. You just go and do it, and that's the end of it," she said.
One shopping couple, Walter and Catana, had their own strategy.
"I'm following my wife's directions," said Walter. "We are headed to King of Prussia Mall -- we've finished here."
"I have my list, I know exactly what I want to get," said Catana.
Willow Grove Mall marketing director Ashlyn Delson had a few tips of her own:
"People always come in through the same entrance and always go the same route. Change it up a little bit. You may find things that you forgot or pass a store you didn't think of."
And Delson says to take advantage of the extended mall hours to get everything done.
