Former Teacher's Aide Arrested For Allegedly Sending Porn To 13-Year-Old Boy
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A former teacher's aide who worked in Philadelphia has been charged with sending pornographic images to a 13-year-old boy.
Quasim Patrick Cunningham, a 29-year-old from Philadelphia, is charged with 40 counts of corruption of minors, dissemination of explicit sexual materials to a minor, and contact with a minor to engage in sexual activity after authorities say he sent pornographic videos and images to the teenage boy via Facebook.
Cunningham was recently employed by the Philadelphia Organization Industrialization Center, where he reportedly worked at Henry A. Brown Elementary School in the after school program. He was also a teacher's aide through EducationWorks and worked at several after school programs including those at Blankenburg Elementary School, Heston School and Blaine School.
On Nov. 18, officials executed a warrant at Cunningham's home, where he lived with his mother. There, officials were able to seize digital evidence that included 32 images and eight videos of pornography.
Cunningham was arraigned on Tuesday, Nov. 18 and remanded to Delaware County prison in lieu of bail. His preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 3.
