Former Pennsylvania Governor Speaks On Campaign 2012
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - It's been almost 11 months since Ed Rendell left office as Pa. Governor.
Rendell will not serve as a Cabinet secretary; he enjoys his life as a network analyst, sometimes lawyer, writer and football commentator. On campaign 2012, he thinks Republican Mitt Romney is playing it too safe
"What the Romney campaign is trying to do is negotiate their way through the primaries in a way that he doesn't take any outlandish positions, but he still continues to appeal to the base voter, without totally burning his bridges with independents and moderate Democrats, who he has to win to carry certain states. It's a very fine line."
