Former La Salle Administrator Sentenced For Theft
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A former La Salle University administrator has been sentenced to about four-and-a-half to nine years in prison for stealing over $5 million from the university over many years.
Prosecutor Mark Winter says 59-year-old Stephen Greb was motivated by greed. He had a multi-million dollar shore home and at the home, he spared no expense at La Salle's expense.
A La Salle University official says the theft, caught only after Greb made a mistake by submitting and approving two invoices with the same number, cost students financial aid and some fellow employees their jobs.
In addition, the official says Greb tried to blame a subordinate when he was confronted.
