Former Gov. Ed Rendell Kicks Off Law And Society Week At Community College of Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Former Pennsylvania Governor and former Philadelphia Mayor Ed Rendell was at the Community College of Philadelphia Monday night to kick off the school's 15th annual Law and Society Week with a question and answer session with a couple dozen students, faculty members, and others.
Law and Society Week covers a wide variety of topics such as the death penalty and cyber security, and will feature a number of guests at different events held at the school this week.
Ed Rendell being the first of those guests, and in the session with the crowd, the former Governor covered a number of topics ranging from the Affordable Care Act, his political future, and Guantanamo Bay.
"It's wrong to keep someone in prison for 9, 10 years who we've never had enough evidence to charge. It's wrong. So I think, eventually, we'll be forced to either try the people in Guantanamo, or send them home," Rendell said.
"The Gov" also fielded a couple of Eagles' related questions, saying he'd like to see the team find a way to keep Wide Receivers Jeremy Maclin and Riley Cooper.
