Forbes, Tinder Team Up To Create App For Under 30 Summit In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- With a little help from Tinder, millennials in Philadelphia for the Forbes Under 30 Summit will have a new way to get in touch with one another.
Forbes is teaming up with popular dating app Tinder to create a new app for its Under 30 Summit returning to Philadelphia in October.
"It became very clear that this was a community and the members of which really want to be in touch year round," says Salah Zalantimo, head of mobile products for Forbes. "So we've got to work quickly to build this app."
The app will offer a directory of members, a feed where they can post social media stories, messaging, and opportunities for business networking.
The goal is for Tinder to enhance the networking function of the Forbes Under 30 app.
"We wanted another way for our members to connect with each other and meet people they don't necessarily know outside of our events," Zalantimo says, "and so applying their technology to our platform seems like the perfect fit."
The app will officially launch on October 4 during the second annual Forbes Under 30 Summit, which is expected to attract more than 2,000 entrepreneurs to Philadelphia.
