For Some Users, Facebook Search Feature Gets An Upgrade

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Starting Monday, Facebook will launch its upgraded search engine, "Graph Search," to all users in the United States.
Originally announced in January, Graph Search is a new tool that allows users to conduct more advanced searches, such as "Restaurants in my friends have visited" and get detailed results about which one of your friends "like" it and who's checked in.
As Graph Search becomes more available, users may be surprised at what information shows up in searches that others do, especially if old items were posted with looser privacy restrictions.
Facebook officials say Graph Search is still a work in progress. It does not yet incorporate information from third party apps like Instagram. It is also not available on Facebook's mobile apps.
