Football: #21 Penn State Looks to Continue Roll vs. Illinois
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (CBS) - After holding off Northwestern last weekend, 34-24, the 21st-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions sit at 7-1 on the season as they get ready to host Illinois on Saturday.
The Fighting Illini started the season 6-0 and moved into the Top 25, but they have fallen out of the rankings after losing each of their last two games to Ohio State and Purdue.
Expect revenge to be a factor for Penn State on Saturday. Last season, Illinois thumped the Nittany Lions at Beaver Stadium, 33-13, during Homecoming. But overall, Penn State has owned this series, winning 14 of the 18 matchups all-time.
There will still be no Derek Moye for the Nittany Lions as the senior wide receiver continues to be sidelined by a foot injury. Despite missing the last two games, he still paces the Nittany Lions with 28 catches for 485 yards.
KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Mark Brennan, editor of FightOnState.com, about the Penn State-Illinois matchup and how the season is playing out for the Nittany Lions.
