Foles Headed To Pro Bowl

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- From Snow Bowl to Pro Bowl.
Weeks after leading his team to a come from behind victory in blizzard-like conditions at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles will be packing his shorts and suntan lotion and heading to Hawaii as an NFL all-star.
Wins by both the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots in Saturday's divisional playoffs guaranteed that at least one Pro Bowl quarterback will be playing in Super Bowl XLVIII, opening a roster spot and giving Foles, the first alternate, an opportunity to go.
It just another in a long list of accolades for Foles this season.
Foles replaced the injured Michael Vick in Week 5 and led the Eagles to a victory against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. Following an injury of his own (concussion), Foles tied an NFL record, throwing seven touchdown passes in a win over the Raiders at Oakland in Week 9, helping earn himself the job as the team's starting quarterback.
In ten games, Foles threw 27 touchdowns against just two picks, tops in league history for touchdown-to-interception ratio.
He led the Eagles to wins in seven of their last eight games and helped land the team its first NFC East title since 2010.
Foles finished the season with a league-best 119.2 passer rating, the third-highest in NFL history.
Foles will join teammate LeSean McCoy for the game on January 26th in Honolulu. Tackle Jason Peters was selected to the Pro Bowl for a sixth time, but declined the chance to go.
