Flyers Wrap Up California Trip In San Jose Monday Night

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers three-game trip in California will come to a close on Monday night as they visit the San Jose Sharks.
The Flyers lost in Anaheim to start this trip on Thursday, but then they bounced back on Saturday behind Steve Mason and shut out the Kings in Los Angeles, 2-0. Currently, the Flyers have 60 points this season and that has them tied for third in the Metropolitan Division with Columbus.
The Sharks are having an outstanding season. San Jose sits second in the Pacific Division with 76 points and they are 20-3-3 in 26 home games this season.
This will be the first of two meeting between these two teams this season. They will also play on February 27th in Philadelphia. That will be the first game for the Flyers after the Olympic break.
Been quite some time since the Flyers won a game in San Jose. Their last victory on the Sharks' home ice came back on Nov. 5, 1999. Flyers picked up a 3-1 decision that night.
Steve Mason is expected to get the start in net for the Flyers.
