Flyers Welcome Washington Capitals To Center
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers look to get back into the win column tonight as they welcome the Washington Capitals to the Center. The Orange and Black are coming off a frustrating 2-1 loss to the Panthers on Tuesday night - a game the Flyers lost despite outshooting the Panthers 36-13.
Washington is wrapping up a five game road trip. They have split the first four games, and their last performance was easily the most impressive as they went into Detroit and beat the Red Wings 5-3.
The Flyers and Capitals have played three times this season with Philadelphia winning two of the games. That includes the last meeting back on March 4th. Flyers won that game on the road 1-0 as Ilya Bryzgalov notched the first of his four shutouts this month in goal.
KYW's Matt Leon spoke with the radio voice of the Washington Capitals, John Walton, to get some insight into what makes the Caps tick and what he thinks of tonight's match-up.
