Flyers Welcome Red Wings To Town Tonight
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Tonight, for the second time in a week, the Flyers will host the Detroit Red Wings at the Center.
Last Wednesday, the Flyers beat Detroit, 4-3, in overtime. Jakub Voracek scored the game-winner in the extra session for the Orange and Black.
That loss extended quite the streak of frustration for the Red Wings in Philadelphia. Detroit has not won at the Center in the regular season since January of 1997, losing their last 12 visits.
Both teams are 6-6-1 on the season. But while the Flyers have won three of four, the Red Wings have dropped five straight.
Steve Mason is expected to get the start in net tonight for the Flyers.
