Flyers Welcome Penguins To The Center
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--The Flyers will try to grab their second win of the season on Thursday night as they welcome the Penguins to town.
These two teams have gone in completely opposite directions here early in the season. The Penguins lead the Metropolitan Division with 10 points (5-1) record while the Flyers are last in the division, and actually have the fewest points in the NHL (2) thanks to their 1-6 record.
The Flyers still have yet to score more than two goals in a game this season. To help put their offensive struggles in perspective, in one less game this season, the Penguins have scored 13 more goals.
The Flyers have gotten excellent goaltending from Steve Mason this season. He has a 2.23 GAA and a .926 save percentage, despite a 1-4 record. He will start in net against the Penguins.
