Flyers Welcome High-Scoring Lightning To Town

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers will be looking for a second straight win tonight as they welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Center.
Last time out on Saturday, the Flyers took care of Carolina, 5-3, to improve to 3-6 on the season. It was a much needed strong offensive performance for the Flyers, who have scored two or fewer goals in seven of their nine games this season.
6-2 Tampa Bay is at the other end of the spectrum, as they have scored an NHL-best 39 goals in their eight games. Five of those tallies came against the Flyers in the first meeting between the two teams this season, Lightning winning 5-1 down in Florida on January 27th.
No Wayne Simmonds tonight for Philadelphia, as he will miss his second straight game as he continues to recover from his concussion.
Ilya Bryzgalov is expected to make his ninth start of the season in net for the Flyers. He has been wonderful so far, with a .920 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA.
This is the second game of a four-game homestand for Philadelphia.
