Flyers Welcome Edmonton To South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The Flyers open a stretch of four straight home games tonight as they welcome the Edmonton Oilers to the Wells Fargo Center.
Philadelphia has lost two straight to drop their record to 4-5-2. With 10 points they are tied for fifth in the Metropolitan Division with Washington. Last time out on Saturday, they fell on the road to the Florida Panthers, 2-1. Steve Mason was strong in net despite taking the loss in that game and he will get the start again tonight against the Oilers. Mason still looking for his first win of the season. He is 0-4-1 with a 3.55 GAA.
The Flyers have won their last two games at home.
Edmonton is 4-6-1 this season, they are tied for 6th in the Pacific Division. They last played on Saturday when they lost to Vancouver.
These teams met twice last season with the Flyers winning both games.
Edmonton will be a bit shorthanded coming into this one. Their leading scorer, forward Taylor Hall is out with an MCL sprian and defenseman Andrew Ference will miss the game as he serves a suspension.
