Flyers Vs. Penguins At Penn State's Beaver Stadium Could Be A Reality
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers and Penguins have one of the best rivalries in sports. What better way to take it to the next level than to put it outdoors, in a legendary football stadium?
A report from WJAC television in State College, PA says that Penn State officials are seriously considering hosting a hockey game at Beaver Stadium, where the Nittany Lions play football. They're considering a Big Ten or an NHL game.
Joe Battista, of Penn State hockey operations, says that if the game was a professional one, it would likely be the Flyers and the Penguins. The report also says that head football coach Bill O'Brien supports the idea.
