Flyers Trade L. Schenn & Lecavalier To Kings For Weal & 3rd Round Pick
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers announced that trade of D Luke Schenn and C Vincent Lecavalier to the Kings on Wednesday. In the deal, the Flyers acquired, F Jordan Weal and a 3rd round pick in the 2016 Draft.
Weal, 23, was taken in the third round of the 2010 draft and made his NHL debut with the Kings earlier this season. He has appeared in 10 games this season.
Weal tallied 70 points (23 goals, 47 assists) while appearing in 76 games for the Kings' Manchester affiliate in 2013-14. He posted 69 points for the team the following season in 73 games.
Schenn appeared in 213 games for the Flyers and scored 12 goals while adding 30 assists during that stretch.
Lecavalier has been a healthy scratch for much of the season. During his time with the Flyers, since signing with the team in 2013, he has posted 28 goals and 30 assists.
According to a report, the Flyers will retain half of the salaries of both Schenn and Lecavalier.
