Flyers Sign Brayden Schenn To Long-Term Deal
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Flyers have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with forward Brayden Schenn, the team announced on Monday.
According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, Schenn will receive an average annual salary of $5.125 million for a total of $20.5 million over four-years.
Schenn, 24, tallied career highs in goals (26), assists (33), and points (59) last season.
Schenn has spent the last five seasons with the Flyers, recording all 84 of his goals and 189 of his 191 points.
94WIP's Glen Macnow believes the Flyers gave Schenn too much money.
Schenn was acquired by the Flyers from the Los Angeles Kings on June 23, 2011 along with Wayne Simmonds in the Mike Richards trade. Schenn was originally the Kings' fifth-overall pick in the 2009 NHL entry draft.
