Flyers Open Tough Road Trip Saturday In Dallas
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers have gotten off to a rough start here this season and life doesn't get any easier now as they embark on a three-game road trip that starts Saturday night in Dallas.
The Flyers are 0-2-2 after four games. They are one of four NHL teams yet to taste victory this season (Carolina, Edmonton and Florida are the others). Last time out they lost in a shootout to Anaheim on Tuesday, 4-3.
On paper, this is a tough trip for the Orange and Black. After Saturday's game in Dallas, the Flyers will then visit Chicago (Tuesday) and Pittsburgh (Wednesday). The Stars, Black Hawks and Penguins are a combined 6-2-2 here in the early going.
Philadelphia is being led by forward Wayne Simmonds who already has 5 goals and 7 points this season. Claude Giroux has 5 points thanks to a goal and 4 assists.
KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Dave Isaac of the Courier Post about Philadelphia's early struggles and this road trip.
