Flyers Look For First Win Of Season In New Jersey

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers will look to shake off a sluggish start to this shortened season tonight as they travel to North Jersey to skate with the New Jersey Devils.
Flyers have scored just three goals in two season-opening losses to Pittsburgh and Buffalo. Two of the three goals were scored by captain Claude Giroux. Sean Couturier netted the other tally.
As a result of the offensive struggles, head coach Peter Laviolette has shaken up the lines. Among the moves, Jake Voracek has been pushed up to the top line to replace Brayden Schenn. Voracek will join Giroux and Scott Hartnell on that top line.
The Flyers will start Ilya Bryzgalov in goal again tonight. He started both losses over the weekend. The Devils will start the ageless wonder Martin Brodeur in net.
This will be the home opener for New Jersey, they opened the season on the road Saturday, beating the New York Islanders.
This is a rematch of last year's Eastern Conference quarterfinal playoff series, won by the Devils in five games.
