Flyers Host Anaheim, Go For Third Straight Win

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers are playing their best hockey of the season as they get ready to host the Anaheim Ducks at the Center on Tuesday night.
Craig Berube's squad is just 3-7, but they are coming off back-to-back wins over the Rangers and the Islanders, and in that win over the Isles, the Flyers scored a season high five goals. While their offensive problems have been well documented, it should be noted that the Flyers have done pretty well keeping other teams from finding the back of the net. In ten games, they have allowed just 27 goals. One big reason for that defensive success is the play of goalie Steve Mason, who will get another start in net in this one.
The Ducks are 9-3 on the season and halfway through an eight-game road trip. So far on the trek, they have split four games. Last time out on Sunday, the Ducks won in Columbus, 4-3.
The Flyers haven't played Anaheim since December 2nd, 2011. The Orange and Black picked up a 4-3, overtime win in that game. These two teams haven't played at the Center since October 21st, 2010. Anaheim won that match-up, 3-2.
