Flyers Hope Sixth Time's A Charm Vs. Rangers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Flyers have had a lot of success this season. That is, they've had a lot of success in games where they haven't played the New York Rangers.
Philadelphia is 0-5 against the Rangers this season and they have been outscored in those losses 19-8. Even with that disparity, the Rangers only have six more points than the Flyers on the season (107-101), but that is enough to have New York leading the Eastern Conference and the Flyers in fifth place, fighting for home ice advantage in the first-round of the playoffs with Pittsburgh. Currently the Flyers trail the fourth-place Penguins by a point.
The Flyers will play the Penguins in the final game of the regular season on Saturday in Pittsburgh.
The Flyers will be shorthanded tonight against New York as forward Danny Briere will miss the game. He's out indefinitely with that upper back contusion. Defenseman Nicklas Grossmann is also out. He could miss 7-10 days with a lower body injury.
Ilya Bryzgalov is expected to get the start in goal tonight for the Flyers after missing three games with that chip fracture in his foot.
