Flyers: Brian Boucher Gets Nod In Goal For Game 2
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Brian Boucher's performance in Game 1 against the Boston Bruins (see previous story) wasn't enough to earn the Flyers' goaltender a seat on the bench.
The team announced today that Boucher will get the start in game 2 tonight when the Flyers try to even their series with the Bruins.
Boucher was pulled in Saturday's loss at home after allowing five goals in less than two periods.
Sergei Bobrovsky replaced Boucher and gave up the final two goals scored by Boston.
It was the fourth time in eight playoff games this spring that the Flyers made a goaltending change during a game.
The Flyers will try two salvage a split in the first two games of the Eastern Conference semifinal. The Bruins hold a 1-0 series lead after their 7-3 win on Saturday.
The series shifts to Boston on Wednesday for game 3.
