Flooding Problems Linger After Storm Moves Out
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The storm is gone, but plenty of problems remain throughout the Delaware Valley. Flooding has been reported in several local municipalities.
Underneath the twin bridges on Kelly Drive is a good place to see the dual effects of all the rain we got. There is about 10 inches of water collected in the street and the road is closed between Midvale and the Falls Bridge.
Also here you can watch the level of the Schuylkill River. While the water is rushing rapidly, the water has not risen over the river wall.
There were cars in water up to the axle along Columbus Boulevard near Callowhill Street.
In Darby Borough, residents are keeping a close eye on the Darby Creek. Homeowners and business owners have taken precautions after being hit hard by flooding last October.
Much like those in Darby Borough, residents in Upper Providence are paying attention to the Schuylkill Canal. Residents and businesses there were also severely impacted by flooding last October.
The flooding has closed numerous roads in the region, including Route 130 at the Brooklawn circle where the CBS 3 Mobile Weather Lab was early Friday morning. Also, Route 1 southbound in Chadds Ford is closed after the Brandywine Creek overflowed its banks.

The rain is gone, but it has left a lot of trouble behind throughout the region.
