Flashback: Olympic Gymnast Laurie Hernandez Nails Floor Routine At Just 8 Years Old
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CBS) -- The "Final Five" of the US Women's Gymnastics Team made history by taking gold at Rio 2o16. But the gymnasts were a force to be reckoned with long before making it to the Olympics -- including 16-year-old Laurie Hernandez.
A Facebook video posted by FloGymnastics and shared by Hernandez herself shows an 8-year-old version of the New Brunswick native at a competition doing a Level 4 floor routine.
And she nails it!
Eight years later Hernandez has both silver and gold Olympic medals under her belt.
