PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Firefighters battled a 2-alarm fire at a soul food restaurant in Philadelphia on Christmas Eve.
The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. at Elena's Soul on the 4900 block of Baltimore Avenue and quickly reached two alarms.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and fire and were ordered to evacuate the building. The blaze was placed under control at about 3:30 p.m.
Authorities say the three-story building had two vacant apartments, one on the second and another on the third. No injuries were reported.
