Firefighter Injured Battling Blaze In Northeast Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Officials say one firefighter was injured while battling a blaze in Northeast Philadelphia.
The fire broke out at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday along the 4700 block of Worth Street in the Frankford section of the city.
According to authorities, firefighters arrived to heavy fire coming from a home and had to evacuate the structure before bringing the blaze under control.
Officials say one firefighter was taken to Aria-Frankford Hospital with an unknown injury. The condition of the firefighter was not immediately known.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
